Traveling In Style

Do you know that luggage is one of the important factor of traveling? Yeah yeah yeah... passports, visas, air tickets and many more are equally important. Yet i see people neglecting luggage as one of the important role when traveling too. I learn this the hard way of course.

When i was younger i don't really care what luggage brand i use as long as it can carry my baggage. However, after frequent traveling, i realized that having a bad luggage has many drawback. Cheap luggage break easily. What i mean by breaking easily is that one of the zipper may not be working well or just snap or, the luggage itself becomes dented and torn ( that would be in serious cases). You might think what's the differences between the cheap one and the expensive one? The obvious answer would be the materials used. One could also say that brand names make it more expensive ( I couldn't agree more with that too). Another one is also aesthetic. Expensive luggage tend to have better appearance ( not saying that they are always better some cheap one are good too).

Anyway regardless of what i say, i'm a consumptive person...yeah i know it's bad but i can't help it hehehe...I like good stuff =X..But one thing i don't regret buying good stuffs is their lifetime...When u count the price divided by its usage, sometimes a more expensive investment have a better cost per usage =)

Well these are some of my luggage choices...I don't have those so all the things that i said it would last longer or have better qualities than the cheap one....i am not sure hehehe...But one thing i can be sure...These luggages are better than your average square luggage..

Globe Trotter

Another Globe Trotter..( Old style classic and super damn expensive )

Samsonite Black Label by Alexander McQueen...Sleek, Shiny,Stylish hehehe

Another Alexander McQueen Design...( I don't like this one though i think it's just hideous )

Nice right!!! Make sure you travel in style this upcoming Christmas...Coz in this era, whoever say that image is not important is wrong..=)

Mikawa Japanese Restaurant

Earlier tonight, i had to send my mom and her beloved dog to the vet. After that, me and my friends went to have a dinner. At first, we were confused and kept thinking about the places where we were going to eat.

So I thought, "What would be nice...hmm."

Then Mikawa came across my mind..Surprisingly, one of my friend also thought that it would be nice to eat there. Once settled, we drive down to Mikawa. Mikawa serve an authentic Japanese food. The food and service is excellent in my opinion. In fact i can even say that Mikawa serve the best Japanese food in Bandung =)..The waitress and the owners are always very polite and warmth. They always greet you and sometimes even waited for us outside the restaurant until we get out of the premises.

For the food itself, it's yummy and always consistently good.. In addition to that, there are foods that are not always available. These are what i always crave about. Foods that are not listed on the menu could only mean one thing...Chef Specialty hehehe...

Well let me show you what i ate today =)

Cha Su...Not on the menu but you can request this to the waitress and it's a must try !!!

Tori Kawa...Very nice and very crispy

Saba Shio....

My personal Menu...Buta Kakuni...I'm absolutely positive that this menu was specially created just for me hehehe...

The almost finished Tonkasu hehehe...i'm sorry for not taking the picture while it's still whole but i'm just too hungry and not to eat it while it's not is just SINFUL hahaha =)

Tempting? Then go on and try it yourself..I'm positive that you won't regret it !!!

Bringing Home The Birkin

So i was walking pass by Askara book shop at Pacific Place and i came upon this book

Bringing Home The Birkin...

Well i thought it was a fun a tittle, so i wanted to buy it ( Yeah i know i'm not gonna read it lol). Unfortunately i haven't had a time to get it, so maybe i will add that to my book collection soon. Anyway the fun part of this book is that there is a contest that is only open for US residents. Sign up the form and the 1st price winner will get this book signed by the author and a real Hermes Orange Birkin.

For people who doesn't know what a Birkin is, it is the most sought after bag in the world. Given that you are somebody, i'm sure you can get any Birkin easily. On the other hand however, if you are a nobody, just hope you might get lucky getting it. ( Well sorry to be blunt but i'm sure a nobody can't get a Birkin =X ) So look at the above picture and look at the nice Orange Birkin...

Well you'd think why would a guy want an Orange Birkin..well i'm not nuts, while i will never really use a Birkin, if i got that bag, I'll definitely sell it and make lots of money =) yeah...i'm pretty serious hehehe..

Hmm, Uncanny or not, I happen to have the replica of the Orange Birkin too and it's for sale...So if anyone want it just contact me

Sexy Brazilian GQ Cover

Earlier on i said that i like buying books just by looking at its cover. The same thing applies to Magazine as well..Of course, there are just some magazine that i like reading and some i just bought because i wanna see the story about the cover =) I think this applies to a lot of people not just me.

Anyway For the sake of fun, I have noticed that GQ US has always featured the sexy Brazilian Bombshell Adriana Lima on its cover for the Love, Sex & Madness issue. Two times...consecutively ( consecutive in term of the issue not the year ...2006 and 2008 i think...but i'm not so sure )..I find this Victoria's Secret Angel is very sexy...she's just the epitome of Super Sexy and Sultry woman..She is just damn Hot ( i'm sure hot is underrated for some ) well Goddess...should be the right one hehehe...

The 2006 GQ US cover

The 2008 GQ cover

On the other hand, GQ UK also featured another Brazilian goddess ( more of my personal favorite..but i adore Adriana Lima too). Her name is Alessandra Ambrosio..Ahhh another Victoria's Secret Angel..She's more of a cutie sex bomb i think..if Adriana is Sultry, Alessandra is Sexy, if Adriana is Naugthy , Alessandra is Nice...while I think there are differences between them, the things that they have in common are that they are both Brazilian, they earn around 5 million USD per year (Both are on Forbes richest supermodel rank 4 & 5 ) and they are just goddesses...

Well here are her GQ cover look...

The Victoria's Secret edition

Just Plain Alessandra Edition =)

So Who do you prefer?

Alessandra?

Adriana?

Or Both hehehe =) you decide!!!!

Aromatheraphy Burner

So one of my friend just came back from Egypt...She brought me a souvenir...well more like a b'day present (it was a bday present hehehe)...It's a burner made from fire resistant glass..(yup it is fire resistant but it's not soot resistant) yeah i tried it tonight lol...

Anyway it was very thoughtful of her and she even bought me the aromatherapy oil too...this oil can act as a fragrance as well...Wanna know the name? It's called the "Key of Life". According to the Egyptian who sold the thing, this fragrance contains some sort of pheromones that could attract the opposite sex....yup just use 5 chakra ( which just mean 5 drop) and girls would be swarming all over me hehehe...(i tried that too and girls were running away coz the scent is way way too strong )..But overall the smell is pretty i good i think =)

Well another funny experience is that she told me that if i want to have some kind of smoky fragrance ( i'm imagining something like a dry ice effect with lots of smoke / fog or whatever...u know what i mean), i just need to burn it extra (more fire on the bottom, in addition to the tea light candle)...So i tried, but i didn't get the smoke effect...all i got is just the glass being very hot..To surprise me even more, since the water is heated suddenly, the pressure built up must be big...so water spashing all over my tables, with me getting shocked is what i get...Huhuhu very fun =)

I'm not bitching about it nor i'm ungrateful about it..but i just find this as fun heheh...so thank you for giving me this...and i really mean it hehehe =X

Books and Magazine

"Read lots of books and that way you can improve your English." That was what my high school teacher always told us and to tell you the truth it did work...The younger me would definitely not read books...they are boring and just time consuming. That was until i read Harry Potter. Man that book changed my view forever. I liked Harry Potter a lot. It was easy to read, fun and just interesting. Since that, i started to read books and i buy lots of them..

As i grow older (I'm 25 yrs old now), i begin to collect many different books. I was hoping that one day when i have my own house i could have a room just dedicated to my books...like mini library in the house..Nice right!!! Bad things about it is that i buy lots of book but i'm lazy to read them...i buy books based on the cover, the tittle or just the "Best Seller" kind of thing....I am a Sucker i know that hehehe...

Well let me show you some of my book collection =)

Well these are just a few of what i have...

In conclusion, collecting books are a good hobby..not only it can make you smart (if you really read them) and also it can make you look smart hehehe.... =)

Lebaran Holiday

Well it's been quite sometimes since i last wrote this blog hehehe....well nothing much is happening though except the fact that I had a 2 weeks holidays from work hehe..unfortunately i don't have any plan of going anywhere and that's kinda sucks...well just quick update of what i did..i went to jakarta with ma parents for 3 night..yup they forced me to be a driver...in return i'm asking my mom to buy me lots of thing hehehe

Yay finally, i got a camera...like i said, though i wanted a leica, i would be happy to even got a sony...and yup i got a sony, since the price is more reasonable...Sony DSC T-77 black color..

Sleek isn't it...with that i'm supposed to be more enthusiastic writing this blog, coz i can take more picture and post it...

Anyway today me and my friends had nothing to do, so we decided to go to supermarket..as for me, i always love cooking...so i decided to bake a bread...following a recipe that i found on the net...it's a nuttela bread ehehe...the bread looks amazing (on the picture)...

So, i followed the recipe and everything went very well until the baking the part..since none of us is a chef, oven is something uncommon to have in normal household..but my friend has a very traditional oven...an oven warmed by conventional fire from the stove hehehe...easy right...yup the drawback of that is the fact that we don't know what's the temperature inside the oven..Well the direction says to bake the oven in 180 degree C for around 25 min...With my intuition, i put the fire on the stove to the max and baked it for 25 min...when i see the bread, it was perfect...nice smelling as well as crispy on the outside...you can basically say that the bread looks like ordinary chocolate bread loaf found in a bakery..unfortunately, the inside part is still a little uncooked...i guess the fire was too hot and as such, the outer layer was turning brown first while the inside layer is still semi-cooked....so i turned the heat lower and bake it for another 35 min....

When i think it's time, the outer layer (top part and bottom part) was as black as a charcoal..hahaha...i was laughing so hard until i cried...it was just hilarious....anyway my friend took a photo and when i have it ..i'll post it right here....but the next time i'm baking it, i'm gonna make sure it comes out perfect =)

This is the top part of the loaf..

And this is the bottom side of the loaf.. Pretty isn't it??!!
